Research Scientist

Assistant / Associate Level

Qualifications

  • PhD in medicine, biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related interdisciplinary field
  • Postdoctoral research experience with a strong record of scientific accomplishment
  • Ability to develop independent research directions and lead projects
  • Strong interest in clinically driven and data-enabled biomedical research
  • Excellent English reading and scientific writing skills, critical thinking, and commitment to academic integrity

Responsibilities

  • Assist the PI in research program development, project coordination, and lab building
  • Pursue independent research aligned with the lab’s core directions
  • Contribute to graduate student mentoring and collaborative team science
  • Produce high-quality academic outputs and help shape the lab’s scientific culture

Postdoctoral Fellow

Computational or Integrative

Qualifications

  • PhD in medicine, biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field (awarded or expected)
  • Strong enthusiasm for scientific research, with rigor, curiosity, and the ability to work independently
  • Research expertise relevant to the lab, such as machine learning, multi-omics integration, tumor immunology, systems modeling, or translational AI
  • Strong analytical thinking, execution skills, and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Conduct original basic and translational research aligned with the lab’s core directions
  • Lead or contribute to experimental work and/or computational analysis, manuscript preparation, and publication
  • Collaborate with lab members and international partners to advance research projects
  • Assist in mentoring graduate students and research staff

Computational or Experimental

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (completed or expected)
  • Strong motivation for scientific research, with careful execution and attention to detail
  • Interest in computational analysis, experimental immunology, or translational biomedical research
  • Background in bioinformatics, Python/R, statistics, machine learning, flow cytometry, cell culture, or related areas is welcome

Responsibilities

  • Assist with research involving clinical samples and multi-omics data, including data curation, analysis, and project support
  • Participate in experimental work and/or computational analysis depending on background and project needs
  • Support lab operations, research coordination, and maintenance of scientific workflows
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and receive structured training for future academic development

  • Contribute to data analysis, literature review, model development, or experimental work depending on project scope
  • Work closely with the PI and, when appropriate, in co-mentorship with clinical or experimental collaborators
  • Present progress clearly and engage actively in the lab’s academic environment
